40x Mini Magnifier Magnifying Glass LED Illuminate Jeweller LoupeThis 40x Mini Magnifier was all I hoped it would be. The hyper-brilliant Illuminated Loupe (LED) provides exceptional magnification and lighting, whether for the beginner coin collector or advanced jeweler. The magnifier has allowed me to pick up the finest details of coin condition and jewelry markings. An overall exceptional value for $6.57. Shipping costs were affordable and reasonably priced.

I am so sick of these cheap loupes overstating their X POWER...this is a 10X MAX...not 40!!! but ver cheap and the light is a nice feature

I do not think this is 40x magnification. It is however a great little magnifier and works very well in conjunction with the LEDs that are on it. The only issue is a had a habit of leaving the LEDs on and closing the loupe which led to the battery dying, that is completely my fault though. It works great for seeing those little details on coins, as well as observing specimens from nature. Leaves, mushrooms, insects, it works very well.

Useful for looking at jewelry, and ancient coins purchased at some other auction site which shall remain nameless :).

No more tilting & turning to orient item to your light source it's built in. Very bright, so don't look directly at it when you turn it on.

Much as I want to like this magnifier, the only clear part of the viewing field is the center. The rest looks like you're flying by at light speed, with time compression lines. And the magnification isn't anywhere near 40x. I have another magnifier, smaller but very clear field, claiming to be 45x and it's about 10-15x. This one is less than that one. It does has more magnification than a standard round 4x magnifying glass, so it's usable in that way as long as you don't mind only using the center of the field.
