Fred and Friends Doomed: 'Crystal Skull' Shotglass

I bought this shot glass from another vendor for slightly more than the price listed here on Amazon. It is a very cool shot glass and when filled the liquid inside the skulls seems to "float" inside of the rim of the glass, it is hard to describe but it looks incredibly cool.

Having said that, this shot glass is definitely a novelty item and not something you would want to use while slamming back large amounts of alcohol.

The shot glass is made out of blown glass and is hollow on the bottom (which may be hard to see in the product shots). The skull kind of hang down inside and doesn't contact the sides of the glass except on the top. The glass itself is about half as thick as the walls of a standard shot glass, which means it won't survive much rough handling or any sort of drop (into a sink, onto the floor, etc.).

I knew what I was getting when I bought it, so I am not disappointed at all. If you are only going ot be doing one or two shots, or you just want a really awesome looking shot glass this could be for you. If you just wanna get drunk and party with your friends you will probably be better served by a sturdier and cheaper shot glass.

Like the other reviewer posted, this shotglass has a hollow bottom. So it's just the rim that is glass. It's not a sturdy, solid glass bottom. Definitely more of a showpiece rather than being a functional shotglass. It looks cool, but not worth what I paid for it (13 bucks at the time). In my opinion a shotglass should be solid and heavy.

This shot glass was a gift for a shot glass collector and Punisher fan. While it was perfect for his collection, it lacks utility in that it is way too delicate to be used as a serious shot glass. I had envisioned it being used at Halloween parties to display and quaff colorful shots. Sadly, due to the very delicate nature of this glass, it cannot be used in this manner. It fits more into a sipping shot glass category, which is both odd and awkward.

If you're a collector, get it to sit on the shelf. If you intend to drink from it, don't buy it.

First let me say the glasses were delivered undamaged (from shipping) and in a timely fashion. I ordered 4 of these glasses, each was boxed separately and each one had a defect all in the same general area. Along the top lip area where you sip your drink from (where the two pieces of glass were fused) each glass had sections that were sharp and jagged, dangerous to the point that you run the risk of cutting your lip if you drink from the glass. One glass I could understand, maybe even two, but all four of them had these in different areas around the drinking lip part, clearly a defect and not damage from shipping. Not only that, but to add to the list the glasses were very flimsy, not thick like your usual shot glass. They felt like they would break very easily. Buy this only to look at, not to use.

This is not a shot glass. It is thin as a candle glass and the size of a bourbon glass. it holds over two shots. Weird open bottom design. Bought 2 and regret.
