Diaper Dekor Plus Refills

First, the Diaper Dekor pail and refills are wonderful. I highly recommend both items. However, the refill pictured here indicates you will receive 2 refills capable of holding up to 1160 diapers total. What you actually get are two refills capable of holding 335 diapers each (670 total). I would send them back for a refund if we didn't need them immediately because you can get a 4 pack of the 335 capacity refills at Babies-R-Us online for just a few dollars more. This seller needs to come clean about the product they're providing so buyers can truly compare the cost against other retailers.

Thank goodness this product is once again available in non-biodegradable. The stink is more contained--definitely a better product once again.

I have found the Diaper Dekor Plus and it's refills to be very effective. As a first time mother I didn't really see the need for a special diaper dispenser. I thought I could just run the stinky diaper out the the trash each time. Rookie mistake. Anyway, a girlfriend (with two older children) knew my plan and gave me the Diaper Dekor Plus as a gift. I don't know what I would do without it. The smells are controlled, the bags are very easy to change and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the investment especially at 2:30 am, 4:00 am, 5:45 am, etc.

I like the Dekor Plus and these bags are okay. The diaper smell is not fully contained with this system, however, and there is no warning when you get close to the end of one "roll" of bags. I recommend keeping an extra insert handy to avoid being stuck without a usable diaper pail.

There are dozens of dramatic reviews on different versions of the Diaper Dekor refill and system. People are apparently very passionate about diaper pails.

I'll keep it simple. Here are the reasons why I kept the Diaper Dekor and tossed the other three systems:

1) Simple, straightforward re-fill design. The plastic is one long roll which you tie off as you use it. Super easy and will save you money in the long-run.

2) NO STINK. I have used the Diaper Dekor system and these refills for 2 years now and I have never had a problem with stink. I think we need a little common sense-NO diaper pail will smell fresh if its kept full for days on end and never cleaned out. I empty the pail every 4-5 days (you just tie it off, so you're not wasting liners), and I also run a sanitizing wipe along the inside. That keeps it fresh.

3) Price: because of the "tie it off" system, you end up only using as much of the refill roll as you need. Want to empty the pail after a particularly smelly diaper? Fine-tie off after a couple inches. Leaving it full for many days? No problem-tie off a few few feet. Its a much less expensive system.

I have tried the biodegradable and non-biodegradable versions of the refills. I have not noticed ANY difference in smell/quality between them. I also use biodegradable diapers, so it makes sense to keep everything eco-friendly when I can and I like that Diaper Dekor gives you the option of choosing from green or regular liners.
